The whole song itself is about what it's like being a girl, at least for me and my female friends. There’s so much joy in being a girl. We get excited over the little things—cute stuff, small surprises, and it's always both emotional and funny when it comes to conversations with my female friends

But there are days we feel sad and ugly. Tired and lonely. Confused and hearthbroken. The beautiful part is that we often carry all that pain so gracefully, it doesn’t even show on the surface.
